I thought it would be appropriate to start this blog with a quick post on the greatest ad book ever written.

It was given to me as a gift over 15 years ago and its message has stuck with me ever since.

The book is Advertising Pure and Simple by Hank Seiden.

While the examples Seiden uses are from over a decade ago, his message still rings true today - if no one remembers your brand or your message, your ad was a waste. Its as simple as that.
Yes, your brand has to stand out. But if no one remembers it - what's the point? (If a brand falls in the forest .... ahhh never mind)

In today's "fiscally responsible" environment, this message is more true than ever.
